I feel the same way about my truck, although I'm sure a few of its 185 horses have died over the last twenty years. But it still sucks barely being able to get out of its own way and getting 13-14 MPG at the same time.

I had a 2 door blazer and I had the same problem. I got 14 mpg on a great day and couldn’t pass a Buick with an elderly driver if I tried. It sure as hell would grunt like you were going a hundred but succeed it did not. And yet ironically enough for those that know me, that was probably my favorite vehicle I ever owned.

150hp, slightly less than 100 at the wheels, and it manages to scavenge 10-12 mpg on average. #JustToyotaThings

A 5.7 V8, and just 20 more HP than my “underpowered” BRZ. Admittedly, just a bit more torque...

This is an off road vehicle, and even the Tacoma is almost too large. Until very recently, no one made a small enough diesel for the trails I take. The above picture may hide the many, many scratches and dents.

Whoa there buddy, make that 45!
The shame is that a 25th Anniversary Edition Z28 option had been planned with Corvette aluminum heads, tubular exhaust headers, 1LE suspension, and a ZF 6 speed (350s were auto only), which probably would’ve put out at least 260hp/350lb-ft at the crank (blistering, eh). I wouldn’t turn down a 5L 230 (rumored 250) hp 1LE 5 speed, though. All kind of irrelevant once the BRZ has some basic supercharger kit.
